2019 May Newsletter

April Highlights

April was an amazing month where children received an introduction to astronomy, something which they were already enjoying with the planet song and the solar system charts with colourful planets in each room.

We wish a belated happy Vaisakhi to all families, we hope it was an enjoyable and pleasant experience for everyone. We celebrated March 24 by focusing on children’s hygiene and regular hand washing, which we hope will reduce their exposure to germs, and consequently, improve health and well-being year-round.

What is Happening in May

Parents are reminded of an upcoming Parents’ Advisory Council – PAC meeting, on May 16, at 5:30 PM in room 6. PAC members are always invited to join the meeting, but we also welcome other parents or interested family members to attend. The sign-up sheet is posted outside each main entrance, you may request a pen from the Director’s office to fill in your name.

Seating is limited to ten parents or family members.

Mother’s Day is being celebrated on May 10, 2019. We will have tea and goodies available for moms, and interested dads, in the main foyer between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. We invite you to drop by and treat yourself.

Victoria Day falls on May 20, 2019, which is a holiday and our Academy will be closed.

A big thank you to children for filling our days with laughter, joy, and giving us the ability to look after their well-being. We also express our heartfelt thanks to parents, family members, and of course, our team. Great work!
